Why Mexico? Three reasons.

Pretty scary, right? Better to go somewhere safer … maybe Thailand? There is only one problem: what you just read is not the travel advisory for Mexico. It is the one for Thailand.

What I found in Mexico City
- The Mexico I experienced is not the one on the news. A bit of planning, common sense and my safety checklist, and it was safe.
- Getting around is easy and safe. An Uber shows up in a minute or two.
- Online dating is on the same level as Bangkok. If you like curvy, it is even better.
- Less. SIM card and money exchange without ID, and most Airbnbs check you in without one.
- I stayed in Airbnbs for $25 to $45 a night, and I walk you through 5 of them.

How is this different from the Thailand Guide?
