3 Thailand Lies YOU STILL BELIEVE

.

1. The 3 Day Rule (Why its B.S.)

You never, ever, ever stay with a girl for more the 3 days, or else you will get totally, and completely attached to her. You’ll become needy as hell, and she’ll end up emptying your wallet.

The 3 day rule is one of the more mainstream Thailand nuggets of wisdom, and I can definitely see good intentions behind this rule. Every guy going to Thailand is different, so in an effort to keep everyone safe, blanket statements, and generalizations are an easy solution.

In reality, the 3 day rule is just a made up, arbitrary timeframe.

Someone decided that 3 days sounds cool, and so the 3 day rule was born. The timeframe is completely arbitrary, of course. Nothing special happens after 3 days. It’s not like a flip switches in your brain where exactly after 3 days, you get very emotionally attached and needy.

Some guys will get attached after an hour, others never get attached to a girl. The 3 day rule isn’t really about the 3 days, but more so to serve as a reminder to not get attached to working girls, or end things before it is too late.

You can spend however much time you want with a girl – that is, if you know yourself, and have emotional control.

In fact, I have even talked about the concept of a Thailand holiday girlfriend. Essentially, how to set up these long-term arrangements if you like a girl. How to stay safe, etc.

The 3 day rule still makes sense:

It prevents a bunch of needy guys from ruining their life. Think about a guy who hasn’t had a lot of female attention. Arriving in Thailand, that changes instantly, and if you know anything about Thai women, they are very feminine, so even if this guy is paying for services, it will probably feel very, very real. He’ll start thinking it’s not about money, she actually likes him.

Once he spends a few days with her, that idea of a genuine connection starts to solidify, and he remembers the lack of female attention prior to this girl. And boom, he’s hooked.

Those are the guys who should absolutely stick to the 3 day rule. In fact, even a 1 day rule makes sense. I’d say absolutely no long-term arrangements until you’ve “met” at least a bunch of Thai girls, and feel normal again. By “normal” I mean feel a sense of abundance.

If you’re a Veteran, or have no tendency to get too emotionally attached to a girl, the 3 day rule doesn’t apply to you.

In fact, if you totally click with a girl, spend as much time as you want with her. Discuss terms upfront and have fun. It’s an efficient way of setting up your Thailand trip. You can even meet that same girl again on your next trip, if she’s a perfect match (as far as working girls are concerned) and you don’t want to go out and spend your nights scouting for new talent.

Which brings me to my next point …

2. Public: Lawyer (Secretly: Escort)

Have you ever met a “successful“ businesswoman? She’s got her own business, or is a female lawyer who has studied at a well-known university. You browse her Instagram, and it looks ”high-quality“ (whatever that means). A mix of professional, and family pictures.

Great stuff …

Then you do a bit of research, and oh, what a surprise: tons of videos of this “successful, professional” woman playing with herself in her bedroom. Oh, and what’s that? She’s also on a site for adult services in a middle-eastern country.

  • Publicly: good girl.
  • Behind the scenes: making questionable content, and working as an escort.

I’ve come across this scenario a bunch of times, to the point where I am not even surprised, or shocked anymore. There are tools that very quickly find this kind of content, and no, Google reverse image search will typically not get you very far.

The reason why this is important is because this is often the exact type of woman guys would want to get serious with. She’s well-educated, her public profile looks well-curated, and there are no obvious red flags.

Then you make her your girlfriend, or marry her, only for you, or someone you know, to find this type of content years later.

Needless to say, this can be absolutely devastating – think about the time, and money you have invested.

I would say ABSOLUTELY do your research beforehand, and don’t think that a clean public image means much. DO YOUR RESEARCH. For obvious reasons, I can’t talk about how to do this type of research, but a few Google searches will definitely lead you in the right direction …

And lastly,

3. LOOKS MATTER (Even if you “pay” for it)

You head to a bar, you make a deal, and since you are paying for “it“, what does it matter how you dress, or what you look like?

That’s the beauty of going to Thailand in the first place, anyone can get a girl, and have fun!

I think you deserve to know the truth …

Yes, you can have fun if you spend money. But that’s also the case in any Western country (it’ll just cost more). But looks, or more specifically how you present yourself (grooming, etc.) plays a massive role, and you will ABSOLUTELY feel it.

Just because you pay for it doesn’t mean anything.

If you don’t shower for 3 days, you will still be able to find a lady at a bar, or club, but she’s will need to have some award- winning acting skill for you to ACTUALLY believe she’s enjoying your time together.

Let’s be honest … if you’re a guy with common sense, you will not be delusional enough to believe it’s possible she’s enjoying it … because she isn’t.

I don’t know about you but for me, what makes spending time with a woman VERY ENJOYABLE is seeing how much she enjoys it herself. It’s almost like a feedback loop; when you see she that she’s into it, then you enjoy it more as well.

If you think that putting yourself well-together (think grooming, style, getting in shape if you can) is something you do for the woman – in reality, you are doing it for yourself. You do it because the more enjoyable you make it for her, the more you will enjoy it yourself.

And no, money doesn’t change this equation.

From a “mechanical” standpoint, yeah, you can get what you want regardless of what you look like if you are willing to spend the money.

But will it be the experience you want? Probably not.

So, here’s a brief list of things to get ready for your Thailand trip:

– Well-fitted clothes. No flip flops for going out. Jeans, or chinos + a dress shirt. The leaner/fitter you are, the more you can go slim-fit with the cut. For colors, simply mix black and white. It’s super simple. There is no need to go beyond that and spend more time on learning about style.

– Body hair/Grooming. Get something like the Philipps OneBlade, and bring it with you. Thai girls, Asian girls in general are not too fond of body hair. This trimmer will fix is 100%. It’s not a shaver, but without the guard it’s pretty much like clean-shaven. With the guard, you can use it anywhere on your body: beard, privates, arms, etc. No cuts, no rashes.

– Buy a fragrance, not a deodorant! Please no deodorant for going out! First of all, it won’t last for long, it’s lacking projection (meaning, it can only be smelt if someone is very, very close to you), and it’ll just smell generic overall. A good eau de parfum will set you back $60+ but it will be very good investment. 1 spray to both wrists (pulse point), one to the neck, and you are good to go. Don’t rub it in. You can also try applying a bit of Vaseline which helps the perfume to last longer. While $60 for a perfume might sound like a lot, keep in mind that it will probably last you for years.
